The Backwoods is a powder and freeride hybrid that favors trees, powder and steeps. Like most powder boards, the Backwoods has a very wide nose and tapered tail, but it differentiates itself with a medium stiff flex, our freeride camber-dominated profile and only 10 mm of setback. This combination ensures that the board is maneuverable in trees and fast in deep snow. A strong core of poplar and bamboo stringers keeps the board smooth and surfy, while carbon stringers from tip to tail give the board a little more pop. The castor-based, tough nylon topsheet helps repel snow and adds durability, while the sintered 4001 base in a minimalist black design provides top speed and allows for seamless repairs.
