The Best Splitboard for: Powder + Freeride - Trees, Powder, & Long Tours
Versatile? Check. Lightweight? Check. Surfy? Check. Snappy & Fun? Check. The Backwoods Carbon Splitboard features an iconic tapered shape to provide float and agility, a high tech and lightweight paulownia core to provide snap and response, and a rugged polyamide topsheet to add durability. This is a high performance Ferrari of a splitboard and our number one choice for the backcountry rider in Colorado that wants the top of the line performance while slaying low angle pow in the trees and slashing surfy turns in wide open bowls. If that sounds like you, we suggest this splitboard as your daily driver.
Like most powder boards, the Backwoods Carbon Splitboard has a very wide nose and a tapered tail, but it differentiates itself with a mid-stiff flex, our Directional Freeride camber-dominant profile and only 10mm of setback. This combination keeps the board nimble in trees and floaty in deep snow. Utiziling carbon fiber in place of fiberglass, and a high tech core of paulownia and aluminum stringers with bamboo insert blocks, we shave over a pound off the standard Backwoods Splitboard while maintaining flex and pop. The castor bean based, white dominant, Rugged Nylon topsheet, helps shed snow and adds durability. Lastly, an Electra PTex 5920 Graphite base provides top of the line speed in a minimalist black design to create seamless repairs.

Sehr gutes Splitboard
Also Obacht bei Steinkontakten ;)
Top
Echt geiles Zeug! Nie wieder Schneeschuhe! ;)

Every season, I am contacted by about 3-5 companies asking whether I would like to sell their splitboards. With some, I can already refuse after a brief initial research, and with some after the first tests. With Cole Karchner from Weston, on the other hand, my good feeling was rewarded and the practical test unearthed a real treasure. Weston had contacted me and didn't even tell me their BEST OF. They came with their request rather simply. We only realized that they are masters of the multi-radial camber rocker construction and lightweight construction when we were on the mountain. Team member Stephan said:
“Hey, why didn't we get to know them earlier!!!”
Durability:
You notice it immediately when you hold the shape in your hand. It is super light - but still TOPP processed. No filigree layers or finishes of the deck sheet, which sometimes look ugly. A good pop when bending.
