100% Made in France at the foot of Mont Blanc!
Hard snow, windblown, powder, jumps over natural kickers...
you'll always be able to cope anywhere, because this board is definitely at home in the backcountry and feels comfortable here in all conditions.
The symmetrical construction is shaped by hand and every detail is carefully considered.
The classic camber shape may seem a bit outdated, but it offers top edge hold when traversing,
and the board stays on track when climbing in hard snow.
Worth mentioning: the own clips and the Plum binding system give the board top stability.
However, the Prems has a very stiff flex with direct feedback.
Made in the heart of the French Alps, in the Chamonix region, Plum focuses on the highest quality and local craftsmanship.
The small company has been active in mountaineering since 1930 and consequently has a great deal of experience in the mountains.
The company was founded by the Félisaz family and incorporated as Plum in 2008. The material must be durable and lightweight.
The bindings and splitboards are manufactured in the company's own production facility in the Mont-Blanc valley.
Engineers, project managers and technicians are involved in producing these top-level bindings.
One of them is Tal (see PIC below). He is the developer of the PLUM binding and also plays a leading role in the splitboards.
If you want to meet him, he comes to our splitboard event CTM every year.
Hardened steel and the board's special geometry provide outstanding edge grip.
The quadriaxial fibers that hold the core in a sandwich construction ensure a firm flex that is playful and responsive when torsioned.
Its core, made of two types of wood glued together under heat with epoxy resin, ensures the necessary robustness against impacts.
This allows you to master any terrain you encounter on the mountain with the PREMS.
Plum places a high value on sustainability in the manufacture of its products.
The Plum Prems is manufactured under environmentally friendly production conditions, with the materials used chosen to
be both high-performance and ecologically responsible.
The use of FSC-certified wood and the minimization of waste during production are just some of the measures that Plum takes.

Bergauf mega
Hey Simon,

We were very surprised how well the PLUM splitboards were received at our Testival CTM. By the bank highest grades from the participants.
It is therefore more than the special flair of a French company that has been developing directly on Mont Blanc since 1930. The shapes simply convinced!
The shape offers maximum comfort when climbing in terms of edge retention. That's why the Prems have such a large radius. They are super true to track and have plenty of buoyancy, even though they are max 164 long. So Plum has the perfect mixture of "best possible SKI" and lots of driving fun.
It is not easy to evaluate the advantage in edge retention over a strongly waisted splitboard. But I'd guess roughly that it's about 10% compared to an All-Mountain Shape and another 10% compared to a Powder Shape. It is always important to stand "clean" on the ski :-).
And all this is relative, because it always comes earlier - or at PLUM even later: the crampons are used.
Made in France
Plum was founded in 2005 in the Haute-Savoie region, in the heart of the French Alps near Chamonix,
a region known for its importance in ski touring and freeriding.
The company was born out of expertise in the field of precision mechanics and machining technology.
Originally, the focus was on the production of ski touring bindings,
in particular lightweight and high-performance models aimed at sporty mountaineers.
Plum began producing race bindings that were specially optimized for competitive sports.
Due to the positive response, the company quickly expanded its product range and began
developing bindings for a wider range of touring enthusiasts.
An important milestone was the introduction of splitboard bindings and systems,
also setting trends in the snowboard sector and serving the growing market for backcountry enthusiasts.
Today, Plum stands for innovation and local craftsmanship,
with all production taking place in France.
With a combination of technology and proximity to ideal test sites in the Alps, Plum has succeeded in
establishing itself as a premium manufacturer of ski touring and splitboard equipment.
