The Freeride Split was developed to tackle any kind of snow and terrain you might find in the backcountry. The combination of high-speed stability, maneuverability and
catch-free properties has made the Freeride Split one of the
most talked about splitboards of the past few years. Its long
sidecut radius makes the splitboard calm and forgiving, while the rocker and reverse sidecut in nose and tail makes it float remarkably well in powder and remain catch free.

We have been watching the furberg splitboards for a few years now. However, in the past they were too lazy for us. This was due to the wide waist in combination with the shape. We also had regular camp participants who owned a furberg who complained their suffering that their furberg is not as agile as they would wish it to be. Furberg has realized that. I spontaneously tested the new furberg splitboards and got to know the current crew at the 1st Try 2018, THE testvial for the trade. Hampus Cederholm explained the current shape to me and after a few "test drives" my interest was aroused. The next step was to convince the rest of our team. Everybody was surprised by the lively atmosphere. For some it was even a bit too "nervous" on a hard track and at high speeds. One should not buy it in any case too briefly, the 170 makes ech sense and straight who has big feet, can do nothing wrong with the 27er Waist.
