FSC™ Certified Dragon Fly 600G Core
Dragonfly 600G splitboard core made of face wood at stress zones provides lighter weight without losing strength
45° CARBON HIGHLIGHTS HIGH TENSION
Carbon Highlights optimises each layer of the fibreglass matrix, adding a continuous carbon layer to reduce weight and fine-tune torsional feel for different ride characteristics. A 60° bevelled fibre layer gives a particularly agile and playful feel, while a 45° bevelled fibre layer makes the board more aggressive. Hi-Voltage models such as Antler, Antler Flying V, Custom X, Landlord, Landlord Split and Skipjack include additional carbon strands to the bevelled fibre layers to extend durability and further reduce weight.
Dualzone™ EGD™
Grain is used along the toes and heels in two continuous zones perpendicular to the rest of the wood core for consistent edge hold and added strength.
Directional Shape
The classic, most versatile snowboard shape, optimal to ride with a slightly longer nose than tail to concentrate pop in the tail while still maintaining plenty of float and control in any terrain and weather.
18 mm narrower tail
A narrower tail than nose means smooth turn-in and turn-out, speed stability and more float in deep snow. There are various degrees of tail in the collection.
Recycled Sintered WFO Base
Incorporating a specially compounded wax deep into the pores of this extremely absorbent, dense, sintered material creates an extremely durable base that stays Wide F!#@ing Open all season long in any weather.
Directional Flex
This versatile flex has more pop in the tail and a more robust nose that facilitates control and flow in any terrain and weather condition.
Squeezebox
Improves performance through a balance of thicker, more powerful core areas and thinner, more flexible areas. Riding energy is transported to the outside, where the source of energy discharge is between the feet, propelling the tip and tail while stabilising and making it easy to handle.
Balanced Freeride Geometry
Twin or directional - that's the question creative snowboarders like Terje ask themselves every day. Balanced Freeride Geometry technology in the NEW Landlord ends the debate with rearward offset camber and sidewalls centred around the stance to create a freestyle feel when riding flat base. When edging, it's agile and fast with the float and power you expect from a directional board.
Pro-Tip™
Narrower tip and tail reduce swing weight for more manoeuvrability.
Infinite Ride™
This technology is only available from Burton. By "overconstructing" the board and then mechanically "breaking it in", maximum liveliness and power is created. Whether springloaded, rockered or preloaded, Infinite Ride™ keeps the board flexing, popping and feeling great from day one to day one, season after season.

The Burton Straight Chuter splitboard combines the outstanding features of the Hometown Hero and the Hero X. With the DragonFly 600G core, which is used in Burton's premium splitboards, this board offers remarkable lightweight construction and a stable, balanced flex. This combination makes it ideal for big mountain terrain and long tours where reliability and performance are essential. The higher price reflects the use of high-quality materials and technologies tailored to demanding riders.
The 162 length is versatile and covers a wide range of riding styles and conditions, excelling in both deep powder and crud. Thanks to the all-mountain design, with a shape that performs equally well on the descent and during the ascent, the Straight Chuter is the perfect choice for riders looking for a reliable board for changing conditions.
Burton, as one of the leading innovators in snowboarding, has made an important contribution to the further development of this niche with its splitboards. Since the early 2000s, Burton has consistently developed splitboards based on the needs of riders and standing out through technological innovations. The Straight Chuter reflects these decades of experience and is the perfect choice for freeriders who refuse to compromise on performance.
The Straight Chuter is designed for demanding big mountain descents. With the DragonFly 600G core and reinforced carbon construction, it is stiffer and more stable, making it ideal for fast, technical descents and big slopes. It is a little less playful, but offers maximum control at high speeds and in challenging terrain. It's a great choice for a splitboard shape.
