769g (per foot) – Lightweight, robust and efficient for your adventures
The Voilé Light Speed splitboard binding is more than just a binding – it is the perfect choice for splitboarders who want to get the most out of their tours.
Combining lightness, comfort and robustness, it gets you safely through steep ascents and ensures unforgettable descents.
What makes the Light Speed special:
- Incredibly light:
At just 769 g per foot, the Light Speed is one of the lightest bindings.
This means less weight on your feet and more energy for your adventures. - Quick and easy to adjust:
Thanks to the clever Voilé heel lock-down system, you can switch between ascent and descent modes in no time at all – without tools and without stress. - Comfort that lasts:
The ergonomic straps and highback are designed to provide
maximum support and comfort even on long tours. - Power where you need it:
The stiff baseplate ensures that your every move is transferred directly to the board.
Perfect for precise control and powerful turns. - Built to last:
The Light Speed is made for the toughest conditions. Its baseplate has proven itself over years – not a single breakage since its introduction.
Tested by Simon (mr. Splitboards) in person
If anyone knows what a binding has to withstand, it's Simon (mr. Splitboards).
He has tested the Voilé Light Speed in two years on over 250 tours - this corresponds to about 15 years of use for normal touring skiers. His conclusion? The binding is a real workhorse. Whether climbing aids, locking or straps - everything has passed the endurance test.
Only an ankle buckle (after about 160 tours) and a rail (after about 200 tours) had to be replaced.
It has a 6061-T6 base plate, easy puck access, adjustable highback (WALK and RIDE mode)
and other awesome features in a very rider-friendly package.
- Dual Climbing Heels
- Heel Lockdown
- Speed Rail Touring Bracket
- Ride-N-Stride Highback

Reliable binding
These bindings have been very reliable with my Solution split, so if you are looking for no hassle, super reliable, no compromise bindings search no further, full recommendation!
PURE JOY!!!
Leichtes Handling, sehr schneller umbau!

The history of Voile bindings began with the Light-Rail in winter 16/17. The bindings have proven themselves since then by their simplicity and reliability.
The Mechnismus was reliable and the handling usual simple. The Light-Rail was replaced by the Speed-Rail. The reason for this was probably that too many customers found the cotter pin annoying / fiddly.
The binding in its material mix, however, remained largely intact. Especially the baseplate proved to be very robust and we know of no case of a broken baseplate.
In winter 20/21, the Speed-Rail gets an update with the version Light-Speed. It is the identical binding, but the Touring Braket as an axle is replaced by a locking mechanism.
The Voile bindings and especially the Light-Speed binding had, I think unjustly, all the years had little attention.
Currently in the version Light-Speed it is a cheap and full alternative to a Spark binding. With the new locking mechanism is even the handling 1:1.
The most stable splitboard binding on the market. The baseplate of the Light Speed is extremely robust thanks to its special construction. We are not aware of a single case of a broken Voile Light Speed baseplate in over 10 years. The construction has been tried and tested since the introduction of the Light Rail binding. Simon (mr.splitboards) has gone on over 250 tours in 2 years with the current model of the Light Speed binding in an endurance test! This corresponds to approx. 15 years for an average touring skier with 15 touring days per season. All parts of the binding (climbing aid, locking mechanism etc. have survived the 250 tours). Only one ankle buckle (after approx. 160 tours) was replaced and one rail (after approx. 200 tours).

Production |
Our facilities are bustling with activity. Our team is busy curating award-winning ski designs. Meanwhile, massive dies are punching wide sheets into shovels and Telemark front ends. Steel edges are sawn and carefully bent into shape, while a wood core and our proprietary carbon fiber are placed in cassettes and loaded onto the press. The production team is relatively small, 31 dedicated employees, who you might well come across on the slopes.
Because our backcountry gear is handcrafted by skilled technicians, we can't make a million skis and splitboards every day. While that means you might have to wait for products to come back into stock, we promise you'll be glad you did.
Environmental footprint |
And if you're coming from the valley, you can pick up your gear right at our retail store, reducing the need for packaging and shipping! Backcountry gear, made in Utah, sold in Utah, and ridden in Utah (and all over the world!) We recognize that Salt Lake City's air quality decreases significantly due to the wintertime inversion weather pattern. As a manufacturing facility, Voile follows all local and state regulations to limit our impact on air quality.
