The principle of a classic folding cane. But the cane can be tidied up super compactly, because the tensioning cord is fixed around the knob. This makes it very compact and small in your backpack. In spite of the adjustment system in super lightweight construction.
Secure Packing: Optimized user experience comes from the finishing details in any design. PIVOT poles wrap around the handle and lock into place when packed, making it super easy to fit into your backpack or cleanly attach them to the outside. This nesting feature gives a secure finish when packed which is ideal for splitboarders and for travel.
Light and Strong: The lightweight aluminum construction of the PIVOT is engineered for strength and durability. The design of the poles improves on stiffness and power over other folding poles for a stronger downhill performance when needed.
A Tool Built for the Backcountry: Splitboarders have different needs in regards to bindings and transitions when skinning. The extended utility tab at the nose is the perfect tool for manipulating your bindings on the fly with a shape that allows for the pushing or pulling specific to splitboard bindings. For certain bindings it is easier to use the basket to do this job, so the PIVOT basket is dialed in to do just that and keep you moving uphill.
Grip Designed for Comfort and Utility: The PIVOT features an extended soft and comfortable foam grip with a dual-density plastic upper for precision in grip and handling. The extended foam and the yellow rings along the shaft make it super easy to select more than one hand position when traversing. The rings also speed up transitions by giving something to pull against when locking the pole into place.
Top Tourenstock - super stabil & super klein faltbar
Habe die G3 Pivot Poles auf sicher 25 Touren bei teils extremen Bedingungen und auf über 3000m getestet. Für mich ein top Stock, nicht nur super leicht sondern auch super stabil (hab bisher schon genügend andere Stöcke geschrottet). Die Spannvorrichtung und der Einrastknopf haben bei mir immer einwandfrei funktioniert (auch bei -15 Grad und Sturm). Und das Beste – die Stöcke lassen sich so klein zusammenlegen, dass sie sogar in den Rucksack passen, wenn man sie dort verstauen möchte. Äußerst komfortabel finde ich auch den Griff und die super praktische Nase mit der ich meine Steighilfe leicht hoch klappen kann. Von vorne bis hinten ein sehr durchdachtes Produkt und eine klare Kaufempfehlung.

Die Stöcke sind zum gehen super und auch sehr stabil, die Grösseneinstellung läuft ganz einfach und kann auch während der Tour angepasst werden! Von daher sehr empfehlenswert, jetzt kommt aber das grosse Aber! Bei den letzten 3 touren sind mir die stöcke permanent am Einrastknopf eingefroren und somit waren sie für die Abfahrt nicht zusammenfaltbar, für mich ein no go...
Hi Stefan, danke für dein gutes Feedback. Alles Stöcke mit einer Spanneinrichtung ( Vorbild ist die Lawinensonde ) haben dieses Problem bzw. muss man hier besonders darauf achten. Daher einfach mit der warmen Hand den Stock am PIN für 1 Minute fest umschließen und zudrücken. Danach ist es er wieder aufgetaut und lässt sich bewegen.
